Orr's Farm Produce
Who doesn’t love fresh fruit and veggies? Delicious and full of nutrients, they make the perfect addition to so many dishes. If you’re struggling to find good produce at your local grocery store, you can count on our selection.
Our Growing Strategies
For the past several years Orr’s Family Farm has been planting our vegetables on biodegradable plastic film. The Bio-360 film we use is 100% biodegradable within 4-5 months leaving no toxic residues in our soil. Not having to use synthetic conventional type plastic, we reduce our landfill waste and benefit our growing practices. As you drive by our farm you’ll notice our healthy green isles in between our row crops. We began using several types of cover crops to reduce weed growth, retain moisture, and add a lot of good nutrients into our soil. This method makes our practices simpler by not having to cultivate and remove weeds throughout the season. We are able to focus our energy on planting, irrigation, and harvesting our produce.

Fun Experimental Growing
Over the years we have planted several unusual plants not commonly found in our area. Strictly for fun and learning about these plants. Although the Sugar Cane was the only success and made it to harvest, it was fun watching these plants grow in the heat of the summer. Here’s a list just to name a few:
- Cotton
- Passion Fruit
- Matcha Green Tea
- Sugar Cane
